Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has again defeated his rival, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Jime in an online poll Conducted by a blogger, Aare Abiodun.

In a poll that attracted 490 votes, Governor Samuel Ortom proved his mettle by beating the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, in the 2019 governorship election in Benue state,Emmanuel Jime.

Out of the 490 votes, Ortom pulled 260 votes representing 53% while his rival, Jime pulled 230 votes representing 47%.

This result is consistent with a number of recent polls, including those done by well-known supporters of the APC Governorship candidate Emmanuel Jime, who initiates polls ostensibly to test his popularity and acceptability since his emergence as the APC flag bearer in the forthcoming governorship election in Benue State.

In another poll conducted by an ardent supporter of the APC, Aoraan Festus, Ortom handed Jime a cruising defeat with 55% while Jime got 45%.

Reacting to the development, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media, Msughter Amande described it as a reflection of what will happen at the 2019 polls.

He said, Benue people are strongly behind the Governor and will resist any attempt by the federal Government and enemies of the State to dethrone the Governor who has stood firm in defense of his people.

This is the 12th online poll that Governor Samuel Ortom has won since his emergence as the PDP flag bearer in the forthcoming General election in Benue State. He explained.
