Reliable information from Abuja has it that Miyetti Allah groups yesterday told APC governorship candidate in Benue State, Emmanuel Jime not to be part of the signing ceremony of the peace pact organized by INEC and other partners for peaceful 2019 elections.

The Fulani herdsmen groups conveyed their message to Jime through repeated phone calls from national secretaries of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore and that of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association.

The groups insisted that Jime must not be part of the ceremony as doing so will betray and compromise their real agenda to take Benue lands which they "annointed" him to do if elected.

The Miyetti Allah groups said their candidate Jime must not be seen at the same peace pact table with the other candidates. They said if Jime must sign the agreement, INEC must be willing to give him a separate date to do so.

The violent Fulani herdsmen groups who rejected the suggestion that Jime's running mate, Sam Ode should attend the ceremony, recommended that APC Chairman Abba Yaro should go for the peace pact signing instead.

This is why those who attended the ceremony today at Benue Hotel Makurdi did not see Emmanuel Jime there.
He will go to sign after Miyetti Allah groups permit him to do so in a few days time.
