The Benue State Emergency Management Agency
in collaboration with Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) and Wang Children
Foundation (WCF) yesterday, 27th July, 2019 flagged- off Free Medical Outreach
Program for the Internally Displaced Persons in Agatu Local Government Area of
Benue State.









Speaking during the flag-off ceremony which
took place at Obagaji, the headquarters of the Local Government, the Executive
Secretary, Benue State Emergency Management Agency, Hon. Emmanuel Shior who
represented the Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, said that the State Government
was deeply touched with the health conditions of the IDPs, a development which
according to him necessitated the program.





Hon. Shior assured the Internally Displaced
Persons that the State Government would bring in more interventions in other
areas in no distant time.





Earlier in their separate remarks, the
Project Manager, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation, Mr Tine Agernor, and Dr
Winifred Aver Wanger of Wang Children Foundation, said that their organizations
were deeply concerned about the health conditions of the Internally Displaced Persons
and promised to do their best during the exercise.









The Caretaker Chairman Agatu Local Government,
Hon. Suleiman Alilu earlier in his address, thanked Governor Samuel Ortom for
the gesture, assuring the Governor of the support of his Local Government
towards the success of the program in the Area.





Prominent sons and daughters of the Area
graced the flag-off ceremony including the Ada of Agatu, Chief Godwin Onah who
expressed happiness over the Program in his domain.
