Blessing Okagbare, secured a spot at the Diamond League finals in Zurich despite placing fifth in the Women’s 200m in 22.83secs at the Birmingham Diamond League meet on Sunday.





Shaunae Miller won the race with a time of 22.24secs while Dina Asher-Smith and Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce finished in second and third places respectively with a time of 22.36secs and 22.50secs.





Dafne Schippers, who clocked 22.81secs came fourth.





By clocking fifth in Birmingham, Okagbare has accumulated 18 points in three races this season and will feature at the Weltklasse, Zurich finals August 30. She will battle Asher-Smith, Thompson, Prandini and Schippers for the $10,000 cash prize.





Also Asher-Smith, Thompson, Prandini, and Schippers have already secured their places in the finals in Zurich. Meanwhile, Okagbare’s Tobi Amusan posted an impressive performance to finish third in the women’s 100m hurdles.
