Yesterday, 2nd Oct, 2019 the management of BENPOLY announced the reopening of the Polytechnic with immediate effect. It could be recalled that the Polytechnic had been on a mid second semester break.
The Rector, Dr. Usman David Kuti, and his Management team had undertaken broad consultations with the polytechnic stakeholders within and outside the polytechnic in order to continue academic activities on a reformative Pedestal.
The approved Modified Second Semester Academic Calendar for 2018/19 which is copied here indicate that resumption is in two batches.
Batch 1, which comprises of Hnd 1, ND 1, Diploma 1, ADPA and Certificate Students are to resume on the 2nd October 2019 for lectures.
Batch 1, exams commences on 14th Oct,2019 to 26th Oct,2019.
Batch 2, which comprises of HND 2, ND 2, and Diploma 2 Students are to resume on the 26th October and their exams will start on the 4th Nov to 9th Nov 2019.
Students industrial work experience ( SIWES) and Industrial Training ( IT) Commences on the 11th Nov 2019.
Students and staff are to strictly abide by this approved academic calendar please.
In addition, Management resolved that:
✓ Students will be checked by the security at the gate
✓The polytechnic exit gate is temporarily closed
✓ Students to observe the Acceptable dressing appearances
✓ That Okada motor cycle riders have been banned from plying the campus.
In another development, the general public is hereby informed that Admission forms for 2019/20 Academic session are still on sale at Designated Banks.
